Football vs. Gymnastics... 'Super Bowl Sunday' Showdown! :)

With Super Bowl 51 just around the corner (literally 3 hours away), I thought it would be cool to do a article involving football and gymnastics. So, without further ado, lets get started! :)

Now, I know football and gymnastics are both challenging in their own, completely different ways, but I though this would just show how some of the crazy flips that gymnasts do on a daily basis can be compared to some legendary football-flip touchdowns!

1. The Carolina Panther's Quarterback, Cam Newton, Performs a Front Flip into the End Zone:

You think that was amazing? Well, compare that to Brenna Dowell's amazing double front pike that she performs at the beginning of her floor routine:

2. Wide receiver Jerome Simpson also performs a fascinating front tuck into the end zone to score a touchdown:

You have to admit that was pretty cool, but compared to Shang Chusong's first tumbling pass (that ends with the same front tuck Jerome performed) is also quite amazing:

3. This high school player has some work to do on his front tuck with a half twist but it's pretty cool considering he's most likely never trained this before:

Maybe Jake Dalton can show him how it's done (with an extra flip and an extra 2 and a half twists):

I know there are plenty of other honorable mentions of legendary football flips but these are just a few that stood out to me. I hope every enjoys a nice, relaxing, Super Bowl Sunday, and a full weekend of college gymnastics! Thanks for reading this article and stay tuned for more! :)
